urgent help needed is card knackered ?

bought card from MM about a coule of months ago

basically have a amd 64 setup and bought a pcie x800 gto 256mb card from MM its the passively cooled card,

anyway system was on all day whilst at work , came home and was testing out some RAM for a m8

then suddenly

total corruption on screen coloured blocks etc etc

tried reseating and moving ram etc etc

whole system is goosed

is the card knackered

cannot understand why

If the whole computer doesnt work, then its not the gfx card...

But if the computer powers up, with corrupted display, it would seem a gfx card fault, try the card in another pc? Or try another card to be sure...

pc powers up no bleeps or anything but just corrupted screen

as i said its pcie i only have AGP around !!!!

I've just had this happen to me, I popped in another AGP card and it is perfectly ok, so I gota do an RMA on my BFG6800U, but luckily I also have a PCI-E slot so hopefully I'll get a 7800GTX or 7900GTX replacement

This must be the month of graphics card borking!

yea my 6800 went pop thursday, get about 30seconds of display before screen goes blank lol
and i too can swap to pcie

went and bought a cheapo 6200gs, system is fine
