Urgent help needed!

Anant your noobness amazes me sometimes.

So I take you have the 12V rail in, and the power to the GFX?

Yes :p

As I've stated several times, the graphics card has the correct cable connected, I've checked that a few times now.

Would you be able to take a few more photos of all the connections to the motherboard?

Have you changed anything in the BIOS other than the graphics? You may want to reset the CMOS as well so you can start again from motherboard defaults.

Yes, as soon as I realised that there was something wrong I tried resetting the cmos.
EDIT: Photos coming up

Double check it's correctly seated and double check the PCIe power connector (At the PSU end as well, it is modular).

If it doesn't show up at all in device manager it's probably either:
Not correctly seated
Not got PCIe power connected
Knackered.

Check in device manager that it hasn't turned up as an unidentified device or a standard VGA adapter.

I read somewhere sometime ago that the 5770 had compatibility issues with some older pcie slots, not sure if thats the case here though

That might be the problem. The motherboard is only pcie 1.0

The drivers won't install properly either, but that shouldn't be the problem, as it should still work with plug and play right.

Does sound like a PCI 1.0/2.0 problem to me. I guess the card manufacturer should be able to confirm compatibility for you though before you return/exchange the card. Although tbh it sounds like a new mobo would be a cheaper option.
