Avira Antivir hardly uses any ram either & is free

currently sitting in tray using 2mb of ram at most

Uses about 40mb when the control panel is open

I was trying to help out my auntie with several PC issues on her laptop.

I tried installing Kaspersky but it said something about the requirements being too high. I then checked the system's RAM and to my horror I could not believe how little there was! :eek:

I installed NOD32 for myself on my laptop and Fire Fox 3 now seems to be constantly crashing every 20 seconds! Any ideas guys?

It's NOD32 - it seems to be the cause of a pile of crashes with Fx3. Look around in this forum and there should be a solution (it'll probably have some option to scan your webpages for nasty things or some rubbish).

Seems to be working now. I just did a scan for spyware and found loads. Removed it all and everything seems fine now. I hope.
