Does anyone know how Mazda petrol caps open? Specifically the Mazda 3 Sport?

Friend got a new one yesterday and when she does to open it all it does is click and turn. I suggested pushing it in and turning it but it didnt work.

Is there a "release" catch inside the cabin? It could be a reverse thread, so try turning clockwise?

Is there a lock on the petrol cap? if so turn the key first then turn the petrol cap

Tell you what though..i was in her Mazda 3 Sport yesterday, black, air con..the works. Pretty darn nice it is.
