Has anyone read about anyone in the UK having a USA Wii? I'm going to Florida soon for some shopping (not groceries!) and thinking of getting a Wii if I can blag one (I'm good at this) It would be cheaper and then I could buy the games online and import them.

No one knows if the Wii is region free yet do they?

Your only disadvantages are not being able to use EU games (until a fix is found) and the weather and news channels will default to the US, and I think you have to import your Wii points too.

"Fix"? The console is region locked by design, I believe.

You also have the same problem as with all electrical goods imported - if it breaks you don't have anyone to take it back to.
