Is it possible to connect my Wife's old Thinkpad that only has a USB 1.1 connection to an Ethernet running off a 'Homeplug'?
The problem is, I have old fixed wall Broadband socket at the back of the house and my wife want's to use the Laptop at the front of the House.
None of the other phone sockets in the house run Broadband, so I bought a wireless router and a USD adaptor 'dongle' for the Laptop, and to my mismay i discovered the adaptor wouldn't work with the USB 1.1.
So, my last option as I see it is to use a 'Homeplug', but it is ethernet. I have an old USB ADSL modem which connects the Laptop to the Internet perfectly at the fixed wall connection, can this be used as some kind of adaptor in the front room between the 'Homeplug' and the Laptop.
Any advice much appreciated.
