I picked up a cheap 2.5" HDD off the members market, plus a USB enclosure for it from eBay. I got it set up today and it was working fine with my laptop, but as soon as I plugged the USB cable into my desktop the system rebooted and hung, until i removed the usb drive.
I've tried all the USB ports and it does the same thing. Other devices on USB work fine: Mouse, 128MB USB stick, wireless dongle. Any ideas what could be going on here? The reboot is instant and happens in windows or while booting.
