USB speakers, no sound card required??

Sorry probably a stupid question but never used them before.

Is it just a case of installing the drivers and off you go?

Most of them shouldn't even require a driver for W2K or WXP. A pair of USB speakers doesn't need a sound card - the speaker itself acts as the sound card.

Yeah my mate just bought a pair of USB 1 watt speakers for work. Plugged them in and worked instantly in Windows XP
