Anyone used one of those USB to USB transfer cables? You know, where you plug in one USB into one pc and the other into another and you can then transfer files etc? If so, which one would you recommend? Ta
If they're recent machines you may be able to get a gigabit ethernet link, using a cat5e cab, which would be much faster than USB. Make sure the PCs have manually assigned ip adresses and are on the same subnet.
There's probably some free/cheap software to do all this somewhere. I know I definitely saw a standalone cable that did it once.
As above, network is easier, cheaper and faster (generally).
