No, but its a good indicator of insurance group, which in this case is 15. If you can find me an insurable car with a 2.0 engine for a first time driver I'll eat my hat.

Engine size can be an indicator of insurance group but it doesn't always work like that, hot hatches with small engines vs family cars with big engines are a prime example.
