Hey well i have a dell laptop and got my windows 7 upgrade disk. I knew using the upgrade feature was a mistake and that i shoulda got a real copy of w7 from somewhere and used my key. But no i was being lazy. So i upgraded and its kept all my old files in an "old windows" folder. But there is 160gb in there and im missing 250gb. So w7 has stolen 90gb of my hard drive (not including the 60gb odd stolen from the formatting and partitioning which DELL did to my hard drive).

So my question is, if i now reinstall completely with a full copy of w7 can i still use my upgrade key? or am i now stuck with this?

I purchased an Acer laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium with a free upgrade to Windows 7. I just formated and installed using a retail Windows 7 DVD with my upgrade licence key, worked fine :).

EDIT: If you do the above PLEASE image your current installation using the Windows Backup tool, just in case anything goes wrong :).
