How would this work? I'm looking into getting a sound card in my nzxt phantom and I want to still be able to use the front jacks for my earphones.

The card will require a header on it to support this, the same as motherboards.

You could technically hack it by splicing it into a headphone splitter from the rear, but you would need to keep turning the speakers on and off.

Hmm disappointing was looking at getting the Xonar DG.

My earphone cable is barely long enough plugging into the front jack let alone the back. :(

are they still all analog connections?

Every front panel I've used creates added hiss (not a huge amount, but it's there). Unless it's digital plug, I'd not do it!

My Saitek Cyborg keyboard has a USB, headphone and mic output, all of which connect to the back of the PC (sound output / input connected to the soundcard).

This has now become a must have feature for me, I find it a shame that there are hardly any other keyboards that also have this.
