Hey folks.

Recently my DS3 died pretty randomly, was RMAed and confirmed to be indeed faulty. Got a replacement today, built the system back up, it booted perfectly, restarted after installing a couple of updates and it won't boot again.

Showing exactly the same symptoms as last time (thread here: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17821264)

Any body hazard a guess at what could be wrong before I start to kill myself?!

Cheers

It would indeed be a Gigabyte DS3.

Removed a plug connected to a lamp that is off from my addaptor and it's posting again. Seriously confused about why that would stop it working properly

And now it's stopped again....

After much testing I can get it to boot 100% of the time with one memory stick and the hard drive out. Most of the time it boots with both now, however. Still rather confused.

Hard disk is functioning perfectly, all files available, passed checkdisk with flying colours. Memory I'll subject to Memtest in a little while but I've just upped the voltage as I remembered on the early bios DS3s have a notorious problem with some memory due to voltage.
