UV Filter/protector stuck on my Sigma lens

Another day, another issue

.

I dropped my camera on holiday a couple of months back, only a short drop and it's absolutely fine. However I have since noticed my UV filter/protector has dislodged unevenly slightly. I can't unscrew it at all any more and don't want to apply any more pressure than I already am. It's not really an issue for now but I am going to need to take it off to clean it and the glass.

Any ideas?

push it down on a towel and twist. Apart from using pilers and turn it, you don't want pressure from the side.

Guitar picks.....

I had a stuck UV filter and used a guitar pick which was less than 1mm thick to force the filter back onto the correct thread and unscrewed.

I think my iFixIt toolkit has guitar pic/prying tools. Fingers crossed as I love this lens!

Take it into Park Cameras or London Camera Exchange as you’re in London.

This won’t be the first time they’ve seen this.
