I have a Dyson Animal, had no problems with it
I just took it apart to see what's wrong. There is a guide online and the part for the motor is £3.20My Dyson has just let go after 10 years of faithful service. I will fix it with a new set of motor brushes at £3 or at worst a new motor for £18, and maybe some new filters now it's in old age![]()
The Miele Cat and Dog Turbo 5000 Bagged Cylinder Cleaner seemed pretty good at picking up hair.
I've had several people recommend me the Miele Can and Dog. Unfortunately it was too expensive for me.

Miele cat and dog. Any discussion like this usually ends up with an argument between Dyson and Miele, it depends whether you want one that will last forever or one in pretty colours, with fancy adverts and cheap plastic...
Slight bias there![]()
