Just had word from AMD that Valve have apparantly fixed the Source Fog bug so I decided to check for myself.

Surely enough it has been fixed on there side!

I used the same set of drivers for both pics, one was taken before Source had updated and one after :)

So it was Valva afterall :D Which cards were affected by this?

HD2900XT and the GTS/GTX, funny thing is Valve made nvidia fix It where as they fixed It straight away on there side for ATi :D , drivers used were the 7.5's. It was Valves fault afterall.

You can see how AMD/ATi is in bed with valve as they wouldn't fix it for Nvidia, they had to do it themselves in their drivers. :)

Bah just beaten. :p

Aye looks like nvidia got ****** over, I know people who avoided the 8 series because of that fog bug which went on for months and months :D.

I remember Valve basically said it was nvidia's fault and wouldn't give them the time of day. Lol, poor nvidia, kicked out the door by Valve then they sort it in a matter of weeks for ATi. Ouch :p

All you can do is laugh really...Well the same can easily occur with nvidia and their TWIMTBP program

Sounds like it. It's already a shame we only have two major graphics card companies, but when software companies become fanboys then it's just a disaster.

Shame on you Valve. Very unprofessional.

alternatively they just tweaked the nvidia fix to work for the Ati card ;), hence lower research, dev, test, deploy cycle
But chances are they fixed it for all those getting the ati bundles because of pressure from Ati
