Can't you get the resident who you've purchased the pass off to help? Setup up a vid camera at their house to start filming every time it detects motion. Then whilst it's filming head off to Sports Direct to pick up some cricket essentials, like a Short Handle bat, English willow off course.

Now that is a good idea, also mount a flashing red LED near the wheel arch to make it sound a bit more convincing
