This morning on the way to work the engine management light came on. But the car drives and sounds fine. I have checked the oil and coolant levels and all looks fine.

Did the thing to get the error code and it gives the code 0115. Which is:

P0115 Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit High Input Engine Cooling C-001
P0115 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Engine Cooling C-001
P0115 Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit Low Input Engine Cooling C-001
P0115 Engine Coolant Temperature Incorrect Signal Engine Cooling C-001
P0115 Engine Coolant Temperature not Plausible with Engine Oil Temperature Engine Cooling C-001

If it is a pump problem wouldn't I get problems or warnings for temp? So maybe a sensor problem?
Anyone got any advice before I take it to the garage?

Thanks.

I think it's pretty evident that you've a duff temperature sender – or, at least, a fault in that circuit :p

Is the car overheating or showing any other signs of distress? It's probably just a dead sensor if not. If you've driven it around and it's not boiled over it'll be an electrical issue.

A dead waterpump you'd have probably heard – and most definitely later seen, when your car dumped its coolant everywhere :D
