Thanks for that. There are some 'bad eggs' as with all forums. OC'ers isnt without its own 'bunch of pillocks'

I organise Monthly meets and activities for the East Midlands Region and source discounts for MIGclub.

MIG does have a core group of people who are decent and knowledgeable. If you can see past the idiots then you will find it a useful source of information. MIG also won best show stand at the VBOA Rally this year. You don't achieve that if 'Migweb are a bunch of pillocks' Sorry if I'm sounding too Pro MIG but quite a few members are trying to make MIG the place it once was so don't appreciate these kind of narrowminded comments!

Tysonator - As mentioned there are numerous sites/clubs around. What Vauxhall do you have?

I gave up after 18 months and asked for my account to be deleted - every time I asked a question, made a statement or voiced an opinion that wasn't the 'accepted norm', it got jumped on by a bunch of..well...pillocks.

Like the kind of people that think the 2.0 Family 2 Engine's worth nothing....

I've been on there for over 3 years. Most of the questions I ask are answered suitably. Those that don't get a decent responce are ignored. I understand what your saying just disagreed with you generalisation that we're all 'pillocks'

I should have saved a copy of the pasting I got for daring to post a certain blue and orange 11 second drag Nova with banded arches, drag slicks and running a 2.0 8v with a Garrett T34 and a lot of laughing gas...

Would have been interesting to read. What period of time did you frequent MIG?

I've found Migweb to be alright, i've traded quite a bit on there and am now listed as a trusted trader.

I left about this time last year, I think...

Memory always fails me with regards to timescales :) My sister just got engaged and I thought she had been with her boyfriend for about three years. It was eight. :/

lol bet she was happy. IMHO MIG was better when I first joined back in 03. a lot of the dedicated members left due to an influx of neon/fibreglass type idiots signing up with a sole purpose of p*ssing everyone off!

Its still a good place to go and get info providing you can tolerate the idiots,.

I agree that there are some quality members there and a LOT of useful information in the 'communal brain' but it was the constant 'OMGZ! U **** get sum phat seventeenz on there!' comments that killed it for me. I'm happy with 13" rims. If I want to go bigger, they'll be 15" in diameter and at least 8" wide.
