And I wasn't looking at a fun car, I've got a new bike coming for that. I was looking for a commuter with space... though an RX8 can have an FD3S engine fitted, or a V8 if one wishes.
But without enough power for 'daily use'

whats funnier is the love for a vauxhall! finally!
i have the Corsa Limited Edition and i got it on the 31st july and i absolutly love it so far. why so much hate against vx usually tho? are they seen as crap quality or is it purely becuase the competitors cars at the same price etc are better?
this isnt a troll post btw, i know very little about cars so am genuinly interested in why "car enthuisiats" **** vx off so much.

because cars made for the masses are not generally refined to the point of what an enthusiast wants.
Most of the hate comes from the previous generation models. The old Corsa, Astra and Vectra were terrible cars compared with other cars in there classes.
The new Corsa is not bad, although the Fiesta drives better and the Punto (which is very similiar to the Corsa) has a nicer interior and is thousands cheaper. The new Astra is suppose to be pretty good, and the Insignia has had very good reviews.

However, being thrown the keys to go hammer it around a track is awesome. But you wouldn't want to take it home with you
Saying that... I personally would love to be able to pick up an Insigna VXR for about £10,000. I think it's a great car.
I learned to drive in a Corsa and the car felt like it was going to shake itself to pieces. At work we have a Vectra as a pool car and it's terrible. Always has something going wrong with it.
Just going by my own experiences, I'll avoid Vauxhall for the forseeable future.

Kind of a bad way to judge a brand seeing as learner cars have terrible lives, as do company pool cars considering a lack of care which is normally provided by a loving owner.
At first I didn't think much of it, but after a while I'm now unsure... you never know, Fox could have had an interesting experience in a "fun" Vauxhall recently
