Hi Folks,
I have a Vauxhall Zafira Comfort 1.8 2003, it's done 150,000+ miles.
Recently (past 6 months) we have noticed it is drinking oil at an alarming rate, I would say it is drinking around 2-3 litres per week. We're not driving it hard or long distances and the vehicle is serviced every year, the engine isn't leaking any oil and there is no smoke coming from the exhaust (passes emissions tests every time).
Anyone know why it's drinking lots of oil? Or what I should check? Or is it just an age issue?
If it helps, we are currently using 5W40 oil, weekly mileage is probably close to 150 miles.
