vBulletin - post icons not updating properly

After I make a post on my board, if I go back to the index the post icon displays "new posts" for the board I just came from, even though it is only my own post that is new.

This does not happen here on OcUK so there must be a way to fix it.

Any ideas?

Go to: vBulletin -> AdminCP -> vBulletin Options -> General Settings -> Thread/Forum Read Marking Type - try changing this to "Database (automatic forum marking)"
