[Vegas veterans] Which shooting range?

We went to a shooting range in Mongolia.

We fired various pistols (including something that looked like a Luger), M91 old school bolt action rifle, AK47, sniper rifle, very old school Maxim Machine Gun and some RPGs.

Awesome day

oh, and we managed to hit a bird with the RPG

the most famous is probably the las vegas gun store

http://www.thegunstorelasvegas.com/

Been there twice, shot an AK47 full auto first, 1/2 clip in a matter of seconds, they only have 1/2 clips that are see through plastic and then a 38 police special

Second time 45 S&W long barrel then a short barrel ouch wrist hurts.

It's quite expensive for what you get about 10 mins (with a handgun) for $50, sure there's cheaper but it's about two / three blocks down the right hand side of the MGM Grand so is pretty local to the strip

I went to the gunstorelasvegas.com and fired an AK47, Sig 226, MP5, M249 - was expensive but something I don't get to do everyday.

Only thing that was a let down for me is that they loaded the mags and I literally just aimed and fired, I would have preferred to change the clip etc myself.

As above it is local to the strip, we got a taxi there and bus back but you possibly could walk it from the MGM.

I have been to the Gunstoreand American Shooters in Vegas . Best and cheapest was in Florida.

I found the Gunstore a bit touristy, and when we went in 2008 you didn't get to load the magazines and someone was with us all the time.

American Shooters has less selection but you get given a brief overview of the gun however much ammo you want and off you go. There is a range martial for questions but other than that they leave you to it. Shot a .45 hand gun and the Sniper Rifle this time (4 of us was about £30 a head). They have a rifle range here so you can get the target a fair distance away.

Both were a fair bit more than the Florida range, and it's cheaper to stick to Rifles/handguns/shotguns, however Assault rifles and the like are a lot of fun.

That is the one I went to as well.

Shot a Beretta 92F, M16 and H&K MP5.
There was a safety drill, and although someone was behind us when we shot we were loading our own mags.

Hey chaps, literally just been to the gun store. They have a bunch of girls outside telling you what you can fire, I went for the 'zombie package' which consisted of a handgun, a shotgun, an uzi and an FS2000 and Nazi zombie targets. Was good fun, the recoil was nowhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be.

Downside was the guys in the booths were absolute arses, they acted as it was a chore to be showing us how to shoot. They were a lot nicer to the ladies.
