Velbon Sherpa series tripods...

Anyone had any experience of these tripods (or Velbon in general)?

I can't stretch to a Manfrotto or Gitzo tripod just yet, but like the look of the Velbons and the comments I've seen regarding them elsewhere seem positive.

I have the sherpa600 and for what it cost is very good. not for big heavy gear tho

I'd only be using a Fujifilm bridge camera on it so it should cope.

I've got one. They're okay, but pretty basic. I must admit to being disappointed with mine to a certain degree, despite paying over £100 for it

Still it's okay for the majority of things I do.
