Now in stock, most of the Vertagear SL-2000/4000/5000 & PL-6000 have been upgraded to the revision 2 models. The main changes are as follows: -

- There is now a patent pending mechanism for fitting the backrest to the seatbase. This means no more 2 man assembly, no more having to line up screw holes and no more unsightly plastic covers.

- The casters are now Penta RS1 models which are coated with PU for smooth gliding over all surfaces

The end result is a better looking chair that is easy to assemble. All models that have Rev. 2 in the title are the upgraded models, and eventually every SL & PL chair will be like this.

In addition, we have the Penta RS1 casters available to buy separately. Available in five colours, two sizes (65mm & 75mm) and with an autolock function, the casters provide a significant upgrade to normal chair casters available on the market. In particular, the autolock function is an often requested feature, which 'locks' the casters in place when seated, stopping movement until you release the weight from the chair. This is particularly useful for racing sims!

Same, but a lot of people need a 2nd person to help them build due to the previously awkward nature of fitting the backrest to the seat.

This is simply not true. I just got a revision 2 PL6000 chair from Vertagear via Massdrop. You still have to line up 4 holes to get the backrest on. It took me hours to get the backrest attached and it's not even attached properly. Because the top hole on the left side (if you're sitting in it and facing out) would not line up. I had to get another person to push down as hard as humanly possible on the backrest and then I forced the bolt through. However, it was still at an angle and now the backrest is tilted to one side.

Funny that, I put one together last week, took me 10 minutes end to end. Are you sure it was Rev 2?

I built mine by myself in about 10 mins, the only issue i had was one of the back bolts had come out its packaging and i had to find in the box. (it was under a flap)

It was really easy to build and so far i really like it.
