very low r23 score on 7800x3d

hi iv just got a 7800x3d running it with a -20 curve but i can only get 15000 score when i see a lot of people saying they have a low score when they are getting above 17000 its keeping cool but im not sure if im just missing something i have pbo limts on auto

its a gigabyte b650 eagle ax and 32gb 6000 ram

im starting to think its windows 11 thats the problem if i change cinebench priority to high i get over 18k if i dont touch it then its set to below normal and i get around 15k

If a new install Windows 11 can spend awhile doing background stuff - 10/11 not great OSes for benchmarking.

I had similar problems with the Gigabyte software on my laptop - was making some games stuttery and reducing benchmark scores

hopefully it wont affect games because the gpu will bottle neck before the cpu

If that's the case i'd just leave the pc on for some time so windows can have time to settle down, and try again in a day or so?

Couldn’t get -30?

I had -30 on both the 7800x3d’s I had. Should be doable. You don’t have PBO trying to overclock do you.

What cooler do you have. I personally would reset bios and just do a run changing nothing. Then add expo and run again.

its ok now 18k is about right for a 7800x3d

I always debloat and stop all background telemetry services because there’s so much running in the background and it’s often badly coded.
