very low r23 score on 7800x3d

hi iv just got a 7800x3d running it with a -20 curve but i can only get 15000 score when i see a lot of people saying they have a low score when they are getting above 17000 its keeping cool but im not sure if im just missing something i have pbo limts on auto

What board ?

its a gigabyte b650 eagle ax and 32gb 6000 ram

im starting to think its windows 11 thats the problem if i change cinebench priority to high i get over 18k if i dont touch it then its set to below normal and i get around 15k

If a new install Windows 11 can spend awhile doing background stuff - 10/11 not great OSes for benchmarking.

it is and i fond the reason for it if i stop L-connect services the LCD screen go of on my fans and r23 score gos over 18k if i leave them alone i get just over 15k

I had similar problems with the Gigabyte software on my laptop - was making some games stuttery and reducing benchmark scores

hopefully it wont affect games because the gpu will bottle neck before the cpu

I had -30 on both the 7800x3d’s I had. Should be doable. You don’t have PBO trying to overclock do you.

What cooler do you have. I personally would reset bios and just do a run changing nothing. Then add expo and run again

its ok now 18k is about right for a 7800x3d

no my CPU didn't seem to like -30

Yes 18k is about right. Did you work out the problem
