For obvious reason southern switzerland have a lot of border with Italy, anyway nothing to do with Italy fortunately...but generally here we have more and higher mountains.

Wow amazing...also from the pictures you should know the village...melide is back and I'am south of the bridge, instead of Morcote. village is BRUSINO ARSIZIO.
MELIDE is awesome, LAMONE rather bad...
Sadly it is well over 30 years since I was living there and my memory of the geography lets me down. However I did stop over for a couple of days last May. I always forget how beautiful it is in Ticino and your pictures are a pleasant reminder. Some of my best memories are of playing Scopa with family friends on their pontoon in Caprino and making good use of their meat, cheese and wine stored in the caves cut into the rock.

I agree. The answer to the "how do you tell if someone has an iPhone" question should be changed to "because every photo they shoot has a terrible filter/frame on it"...
