Vettel to go to Ferrari in 2014?

Actually he said no to the FIA having one in Brazil. As I said already there is no sensible discussion about Alonso when you are involved as you hate him and are bitter and twisted and have previously posted on here that he is a racist just because he is Spanish. Hungary was the catalyst for Alonso realising McLaren were not playing fair.

McLaren were racing against Alonso, no matter how you try and deflect, deny or excuse. McLaren were lucky to be allowed to race in 2007 never mind just Alonso, they should have been thrown out for years and points stripped from team and drivers, just fortunate that the rightful title was won by Kimi and Ferrari and not by cheats.

Fernando Alonso has revealed that he can all but choose who his next team-mate will be at Ferrari. As the Formula 1 circus gathered again in Valencia on Thursday, the Spaniard was naturally quizzed over the ongoing Sebastian Vettel-to-Ferrari rumours.

Alonso joined the Scuderia at the start of 2010, racing alongside Felipe Massa who was already in his fifth season with the team. At the end of the Brazilian’s seventh Ferrari campaign in 2012, he is expected to be replaced by another driver – whose fate will be partly sealed by the two-time World Champion of 2005 and 2006.

When asked if he will be influencing the decision, the Spaniard replied:

“In the past, never. Now with Ferrari, yes. I go to the factory in Italy every week, sometimes seeing the President (Luca di Montezemolo) plus Stefano (Domenicali, Team Principal). We all talk about the car development, the future of F1, Ferrari car owners, team-mates, etcetera.”

Furthermore, Alonso revealed that he would have ‘no problem’ in being reunited with Lewis Hamilton, with whom he experienced a fierce partnership at McLaren in 2007.

Do you not know?

I know, but as already said you have already made excuses, defending it, when you don't know, so does it make any difference you have already done your deflect, deny and turn it around. You are free to research it further if you wish :)

do you play dumb on purpose? if you read the links I posted the FIA appointed an observer in Brazil to make sure no foul play, such as funny tyre pressures in qual as Alonso has suspicions from previous races, Alonso said he does not want the FIA to do this.

You are the one that has made a whole list of reasons why there was an observer so obviously you know there was one otherwise why are you justifying it?

I'm not playing dumb, I'm trying to get my head round your argument. You said that Alonso left McLaren because the team were 'racing against him', and he needed an FIA observer to ensure they were playing fair, but Alonso's contract with McLaren had already been ended before any of that happened.

He left McLaren because he was not being treated equally, this was not an overnight thing, Indy and Hungary where the catalyst's then things got further worse, McLaren were racing against him when he could have won the title. I have no argument I posted what Ron said, you have then spent 500 more posts trying to deflect it for whatever reason as you can't admit McLaren done any wrong because you hate Alonso basically.

Your time lines are off. Your argument that McLaren were racing against him comes from the penultimate race of the season, 3 months after McLaren said Alonso could leave, and 1 week after it had been confirmed that he was leaving.

The Hungary 'catalyst', as you call it, was one instigated by Alonso.

Alonso left McLaren because he not only knew of the cheating, but was in possession of Ferrari information, used it to blackmail his boss, and after securing immunity for himself, testified against his own team in court. I genuinely don't know how he kept his drive, so I can only assume it was a condition of his immunity.

If McLaren were racing against him and suspected of treating him unfairly it was because he was leaving, not the other way around.

Alonso is not the squeaky clean innocent victim you seem to think he is.

Hungary was instigated by Lewis, check your timeline, Alonso demanded equal treatment he never got it so he left. McLaren were racing against Alonso a McLaren driver no matter how you try to twist it I am not arguing it you are, even Whitmarsh admitted McLaren handled Alonso all wrong should learn from those mistakes.

I have not once said Alonso was clean, McLaren in 2007 were riddled with cheating and they should have been thrown out of the sport for a few years at least. Just thankfully they never won a thing in 2007, Lewis was protected as well by Bernie not to lose his points along with Alonso.

Guys this has nothing to do with Vettel to Ferrari in 2014. No need to derail the thread into a debate about Spygate. Feel free to make your own thread on the matter. Can we also avoid the personal insults.

Edit: I appreciate the apology, Skeeter. This kind of thing is getting a little out of hand in Motorsport - I like a healthy debate, but not when it takes over every single thread in here with the same 2-3 topics :)

Hope it's true that Alonso said no to Lewis at Ferrari, Lewis at Red Bull would be a disaster which is why they have said they are not interested in him as they know they are not a team that will give him all the attention he needs to perform.

Why wouldn't they? they bend over backwards for Vettel compared to Webber?

If anything Button seems to get preferential treatment at McLaren with pitstops and a better pit crew so even 50/50 would be an improvement for Lewis.

Agree'd i think Hamilton without a doubt would jump ship. He's even said that hes looking for wins and not loyalty.

Would spice things up. Vettel to Ferrari? nahhh. Alonso will get jealous again and throw his teddy out... Like he did at Mclaren.

We all know that it was Hamilton disobeying the team that caused that situation.

Hamilton has grown up a little now, i'm sure he'd be more of a team player these days.

Likewise Alonso has also matured. Hasn't Alonso been quoted saying that he wouldn't mind Hamilton as his teamate?

Surely Webber in 2013 would be the ideal scenario though.
