Video conversion

Hi guys,

Im not up to speed on this kind of stuff, but I need to convert a few AVI's to MKVs.

Anyone recommend any apps for this? preferably free ones.

Give Handbrake a try, although I'm not sure specifically if it does AVI to MKV without looking. Why do you want MKV out of interest?
