Preferably free, or cheap. Also got to be simple to use, as I gave up on Virtual Dub a long time ago before requiring this feature.
The trial of Camtasia Studio doesn't seem to support adding scrolling text to video footage.
What I'm aiming for is horizontal scolling text in the black border on the bottom, with instructions of what is happening.
