I'm sure you've all seen the vid's on youtube of these people doing sniper montages etc of modern warfare 3 and so on, my question is what bloody programs are they using to get these cool effects etc lol its doing my head in lol

as you can imagine these programs come with abit of a price tag

The plugin people use to get the super slow motion you often see in the montages is called Twixtor

Just to add to this, although Sony Vegas is easy to pick up, that's because it's got a great UI and is very intuitive, not because it's basic. I edit professionally on Vegas and my business partner edits in Final Cut, and there's few differences between the two (apart from the price).

It also comes down to plug-ins. I'd imagine many people use plug-ins from video copilot, such as the twitch package.
