Vince's Ebay Repair Thread - (Console Repairs & Mods)

Gentlemen. I got this Saturn specific HDMI thingy to add to my console and finally managed to test the saturn. It works flawlessly! Reads discs super fast and all my games work great. Very happy with my Saturn purchase.



I then found its got a slot on it which at first I was like, is this some backward compatibility shenanigans going on here did some google and found it's a memory card slot so I had to find myself a memory card! Now its time to invest in a few more games i think. Some of the prices though are absolutely shocking!



Excuse the dusty shelf... better get the duster out again. It's like a damn dust magnet that shelving.

Love the Saturn! Can’t wait for the voyage of discovery to do the fram mod (removes the need for the battery for save data), the inevitable 50/60mhz switch mod (a fun instal) and then the joy of a wireless pad for it all…

I'm tempted to get a second one for fenrir ode mod and some other mods but I feel like one like mine that is complete in box etc shouldn't be fiddled with. I kinda regret buying such a nice one but at the same time it's one of the best bits in my collection.

I do have two very nice builds that I should be sharing over the coming weeks on those two gameboys :) - Both of those would power on with no display/audio but i fixed em both up so decided to give them both some mods.

I've got a drawer full of donor Saturns, drop me message with your address and I'll post a mk2 fixer-upper :) (had a quest to buy a broken one for a mode instal and ended up with lots of mostly working ones, recommend the replacement psu for them as well)

There are sure to be some updates coming! I have just been ever so slightly lazy with the updates! - I have however fixed 3x wonder swan handhelds :cry:

Im also still out there looking for some rare stuff like nomad etc.

+1 on the 50/60hz mod.
Such a shame that the PS1 was not so simple (albeit there is a memory card softmod out there these days).

Yea they tell me somebody is picking it up tomorrow so ive offered them £120 on it and they are mulling it over. I might have some oleds but they are naughty and I cant sell them on here. :cry:

What im really looking forward to is parts coming to finish this GBA and GBC build, looking forward to showing you guys them :)

It's never too late for a bit of man love! Thanks so much dude, looking forward to my mk2 shenanigans! Am thinking ill get straight to the mods :D I do expect that this will hurt my pocket a lot... Fenrir is £127 :cry: And thats before any other epic mods.
