hi guys,

basically i own a netgear wndr3700 v1,

because of stock firmware or ddwrt not playing very nice with this router, wireless and networking fail often requiring me to reboot the unit.yes i have tried everything i could without luck.

i am looking for an alternative router with more or less same power and specs of my router (gigabit lan, 5ghz band, good coverage) but this time holpefully it will be known to work stable with ddwrt/tomato/openwrt whichever is the best out of the box requiring me not to wait for further updates...

i am actually connected to virgin isp in uk, 50 meg down 5 up, connected 2 gigabit pc, and several wireless clients, so proven ddwrt/tomato/openwrt stability is a must.

waiting for your advice.

thanks

Can open, worms everywhere!

The Asus RTN16 is said to be very good and is comparable in spec. I have the WNDR3700 (v1.1?) and it's been perfectly fine with all official firmwares, the latest of which came out a few weeks ago.
