hmm a double check shows the picture on my other TV with the V+HD is now the same as the Tivo

Both are way under the quality of when I had one box....

So the Virgin guy came and tested the signal, it was all fine. He did add a fault to my account on the fact my picture looks more like upscaled SD now instead of decent HD.. almost like looking through vaseline.

Not sure if to phone virgin now and see if they will adjust my price??

Just to add I see that the next wave of Tivo boxes from the end of the year will be made by samsung

PQ is fine on the TIVO box (SD and HD) - yes I had both styles of V+ box previously

if you don't like the scaling of the SD - and you have a decent enough TV just setup the TIVO to output SD as SD (and let your TV scale it) and HD as HD

not sure what its an issue for people

I've found no way of doing this. If you set the TIVO box to out put content at 576i then all content is output at 576i, even HD. How do you switch off the TIVO scaling completely?
