Virgin Media's 50meg

Hi all,
Does anyone out there subscribe to the above service??
When i spoke to them regarding this they mentioned summat about a card that has to be fitted and if they mean a Gigabit network card, mine has a built in 10/100/1000 ethernet.

They're just saying you need to have a network interface in your PC. Whether it's 100mbit or 1000mbit doesn't matter, the service is 'only' 50mbit.

as long as you have a LAN port then you are fine, they come and fit a modem and router that you just plug in or use wirelessly

Mine plugs into my onboard too m8, thats what they mean. They used to have to sell seperate cards to some folk.
