Hi,

was wondering if anyone has had experience or has been in a simillar situation that i am in at the moment.

I met a girl in japan last year and since then i have travelled with her in england and spain we have become boyfriend/girlfriend and are now looking at ways of staying together. We have looked at work holiday visa for australia so with can stay together and earn money at the same time this is an option but she is not too keen on it (she is more concerned about what will happen after the 1 year is up in Oz).

Other options are her staying in the UK or vice versa for me in japan but she will need to return to japan to sort all that out. we are just looking for any help or guidance from other people who have experienced this situation, i know a few people on here are married to japanese.

Help is much appreciated

Thanks

thats really nice of them.

but why are you two trying to move in to another country?

i really like england, i live in cambridge and i love this happy consistent life.

no earth quakes or volcanos.

OT - Even in Cambridge we're suffering the slow invasion of the chavs, I thought we'd be safe here :(

Back on topic - I think its pretty difficult to get a Visa if you're already in the country, when I tried to get a work VISA in New Zealand they said it had to be done before entering the country.

One of the best people to talk to would be Kamikaze_Pigeon (Piggymon's brother)

He's married to a Japanese lass and lives over in Japan.

the reason for Australia is that we can both can get the work holiday visa quite easy, meaning both being able to work. she is in her last year for the work holiday visa entitlement as well.

basically, i can not work in japan so easy becuase i dont have a degree (HND only) so getting a work visa would be difficult.

she will have to go home to sort out a work permit and visa for england if we decided that option. just wondering how difficult it is for japanese to get work permits and visa for the UK.
