Vista 32bit artifacting in WMP and games when running in 32bit.

Hi all, when playing a video in WMP or running games I keep getting graphical glitches and artifacts. At first I thought it was my graphics card but I'm pretty sure it's Vista messing up.

It started happening around the same time as windows explorer stopped responding constantly and the only way to cure the artifacting is to set Vista to 16bit.

Any ideas?

Obvious question: are you using the latest drivers? Not an nvidia card by any chance is it?

Yep, using the latest drivers. It's an ATI Mobile Radeon 3470.
