Hey all

A friend of mine is building a new computer soon and he's going to get Vista Home Premium 64-Bit. There's a few components and some software that I'm not sure is compatible with it, so could anyone let me know if any of these won't work?

Netgear WPN311 Rangemax PCI Adapter
Nero 7 OEM
Adobe Photoshop Elements 5
iTunes + an iPod

Thanks

Netgear WPN311 Rangemax PCI Adapter - Not sure
Nero 7 - Yes
Adobe Photoshop Elements 5 - Yes (with update)
iTunes - Not sure if apple corrected Vista problems.

itunes+ipod are meant to be a bit twitchy on Vista64, but I've had no problems myself. I'd use the latest version, and avoid updating the firmware on the ipod on Vista 64 for the time being.

Thanks for the replies. I did a bit of looking and apparently the WPN311 is a bit flaky, so I went for the WG311T which should be better. Hopefully iTunes won't be too bad.

ITunes is 'functional' in Vista 64, it'll work eventually after thinking about things for a while.

Me personally i've been close to binning my IPod since upgrading to Vista due to the wierd things that happen once my IPod is plugged in. Think Apple are playing a silly petty game with Vista that if they dont sort very soon is going to lose them a lot of customers (either that or their dev teams are lacking in talent which i dont believe, think their marketing dept is 'validating' the code these days).

The version before last was good for me then it pinged up a notification that a new version was available so i thought cool, more Vista enhancements, how wrong i was. Thing works like a dog now, takes 5 mins from plugging my Ipod in until it appears in the ITunes folder tree and the app now goes greyed out for those 5 mins until the Ipod is recognised. Sound is still choppy in parts but at least it doesnt cause my PC to restart when launched which 2 versions back did.
