Hi guys,

Having this problem for some time now so thought i should ask for some input.

Whenever i play a game, any game, it runs fine for about 5 minutes before there is a major sound stuttering followed by a slowdown in game, rendering the game completely unplayable. The only solution that i have been able to come up is to uninstall my sound card drivers and then install again and then play, the game works fine after this but its so damn annoying to do this every time i play. I have looked around on different forums and have found many people having the same problem. I have tried some of the tips but they haven't worked. I even changed my sound card as i thought it was the culprit but nothing has changed.

I know for a fact that my system is up to date with drivers for everything. I have tried different drivers for my gpu to see if they are causing the problem but its the same with any drivers i try.

It seems to be a vista problem but i don't know what to do. Is there a fix to this problem? Anything i can try, i will try so please post your suggestions.

Much appreciated!

I'm having similar problems with the 32bit version of Vista when playing DX9 games. Apparantly it has something to do with DX9 games and virtual memory problems and whilst I did manage to find a hotfix which was supposed to address the problem I couldn't get it to install.

Here's the info if you want to try it.
