Vista cant see 2nd partition on external drive

i recently moved over to Vista ultimate 64 from XP pro. however vista doesnt see the 2nd partition which contains all my exe files for setting up my apps.

can anyone think why it would only see 1 out of 2 partitions

Does it see the second partition within Disk Manager?

yes it can see it but wont let me assign a drive letter, it states "refresh then restart the drive manager" tried it but it didnt work

any ideas

found it! i deleted the little partition that was on there aswel and it auto played the other partition strangeeeeee
