Vista Complete Recovery & Backup

Hi,

As talked about in the general forum, i have bought a 500gb spinpoint hard drive to replace a failing 250gb drive (only os and programs as the rest is on a seperate drive).

Now the question is How do i go about reinstalling the complete backup to my new drive.

do i install vista on the new drive and then do the recovery process on the new installation, using the complete backup of my old drive?

I suggest just reinstalling Vista and then copying the files you want from the backup, that way everything stays nice and clean

you only need to boot from the vista disk, then run the complete pc backup, it then apply's the image.

My delivery guy usually turns up at 12, its a sad day when youve ordered so often that you can tell what time they will arrive at.. lol

I used to run a online business for a year before i went to uni, so i had citylink and parcel force come nearly every day! haha
