Vista in USA

On holiday in the US in May and given that I have never used MS support in my life, is there any drawback to buying Vista while there? The prices at Walmart seem pretty good at the current exchange rate?

Support would come from the US call centers so for support/key revalidation you'd have to dial overseas. You'd also have to go through and set everything to an en-UK keymap. Beyond that I see little challenge.

Cool, it seems to be £80 for home premium upgrade meaning I can take it to a new machine unlike OEM (although OEM might transfer)

It's only £120 for ultimate upgrade as well. Would it actuvate over here or detect I'm on a UK IP?
