which is better for a media pc. vista ultimate or xp pro as thats what its main use will be.

you don't need ultimate for a media pc. xp pro is no good for a media pc unless you use 3rd party software. vista home premium would be your best bet.

now your asking.

its an

abit ic7 max3 board
intel 2.6 ghz chip i think
1gig kingston memory
radeon 9800
creative live 2 card
160 gig hard drive
lite on cd writer dvd rom

think thats it

cheers marc home pro is the choice then if i decided to go for it.

can you get a media remote to work with vista home does anyone know?

also can i sell my copy of xp pro that ive got now.

Wouldn't bother with those specs.
Stick with XP

punk - vista would run on that as a media pc wouldnt it? only going to be used as a music player and a dvd player , and some web browsing for my bedroom. not going to be used for games as i use my xbox 360 for that
