Vista is recognising my USB ports as 1.1

This must be why my webcam crashes the system when I try to set it to 1280x1024.

I can't remember how to see the model of my mobo in vista, could someone tell me so that I could see if they have vista drivers so that I wont have this problem anymore?

It permenently recognises it as usb 1.1. THe camera caushes a blue screen if I try to use it at higher than 800x600.

I need to know how to see what model the motherboard is in vista. How do I do it?
