Hi All

I had a Toshiba Laptop running Windows Vista Business, which could connect via a Windows network to a computer running XP Home. However, I then had to swap the router on the network for technical issues related to our broadband provider. The router was swapped from a Netgear DG834PN to a Thomson Speedtouch 585v6. Whilst the Vista Laptop can still connect to the internet, and it can see the main XP Home computer on the network, it can't connect to the XP Home computer and open any of the shared files on it.

Can anyone make any suggestions as to what I can try to get this working? I am wondering if it is somehow related to IPv6?

Many thanks for any suggestions or links.

Thanks

OK, so if I plug the Vista laptop into the router, it can then open files on the XP Home machine, but it can't do this when it's on the network wirelessly.

Can anyone give me any suggestions as to what to look at? Router is a Thomson Speedtouch 585.

Any suggestions or links much appreciated.

Thanks all
