Hi guys, most of you probably know this but thought I'd share.

I'm always one for keeping things clean and running smooth but I rarely use the built in Windows utilities, let a lone its disk cleanup.

Well, image my surprise when I did decide to look in here and found that 3.5Gb of space was being taken up by a Hibernation reserve setting!!

There's probably an easier way to access this, but I right clicked on Computer and properties then click on the Windows Experience Index, on the left, choose Open Disk Cleanup and select for all users of this computer.

I checked this on a desktop machine but couldnt see it so assume its laptops only.

Hibernate is useful on laptops though, it's quicker to resume than a cold start, and it uses no power. Generally far better than shutting down all the time.

True, if you use your laptop essentially as a desktop, that's fine. Personally I only ever use mine at Uni etc and my PC at home, so Hibernate is perfect for that. No power usage while it's 'off', and it's still quick to turn on.
