vista not seeing my drive

Hi all

sorry if this should go in the softwhere forum.

I'm currently coming to the end of my build see sig for details, vista inst displaying my Seagate Barracuda 7200.1 500GB sata drive. Intel matrix storage manager displays the drive displaying the correct size. it appearers in Device manager but with no indication of size.

during boot it displays in both BIOS and in the raid set up where you are promoted to press control+I. have tried updating drives etc but with no luck.

any ideas

Have you looked under Disk Management?

START -- CONTROL PANEL -- SYSTEM and MAINTENANCE -- ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS -- COMPUTER MANAGEMENT

In the left pane expand "STORAGE" and click "DISK MANAGEMENT"

You should be able to mark the partition as active. You also have the options to format and change drive letters and so on.
