I have a Asus P5B Deluxe WiFi MOBO, question is I have my doubts if I should order the OEM version of Vista Home Premium. Thing is I like to keep my system bang up to date with the lastest without going stupid and buying Quad Cores. So maybe the second best league of PC's
Check my specs, how much longer will I be able to stay with this MoBo before having to upgrade to play games with all settings up top (which is the only way I play).

Intel Core 2 Duo 6600 (stock for now)
Asus P5B
Asus 8800GTX (also stock)
OCZ 2GB PC6400
OCZ Gamexstream 600W
SataII 250GB 16MB Cache

How often have you changed motherboard in the last 24 months? What resolution do you game at?

Personally, the system you have would do me for another 18/24 months. May be you should ask yourself how many times you have you changed motherboards in the last 18/24 months? If its more than once or twice, it is likely you will do the same in the next 18/24 months and it will probably be worth your while getting retail over OEM.

it also depends on which version of Vista you want as well.

hope this helps :)

True ,and x64 haas to be the way,if you have a x64 CPU ,no point going backwards ,and most of the hardware will work on Vista if your board, graphics card ,sound card are recent .. ;)
