So im having a strange problem with Vista Ultimate 64bit. This is a clean install, latest drivers for all devices, all Windows Updates applied.

Basically, everything will be working hunky dory (could be for days if not a week or so), but every so often its like the backspace gets "stuck on" as if i try and view a page in IE or Explorer etc i can't as it will keep going back! The only way to resolve it (until it happens again) is to reboot the machine. I've tried removing the keyboard and just using the mouse but it still does it, so its not the keyboard. Have tried a few other little things to try and get it sorted but it always returns.

Any ideas?

Spec: MSI K9AGM2-FIH, AMD X2 4000+ (stock), 2GB GeIL, 500GB Samsung HDD, Keysonic wireless keyboard/touchpad.

You've not got a mouse with one of the buttons that acts as 'back' have you? Maybe it's that getting stuck not the keyboard?

Unfortunately not, its got to the point where i have removed every peripheral and just plugged in the most basic of mice with no joy. It has to be a software thing (i assume driver) but is incredibly annoying!

run an av/spyware check

might be worth trying another kb/mouse some motherboards don't react properly when you remove kb&mouse (if they're ps2)
